You don’t understand the nature of sovereignty, or the history of “Canada” then.

Provinces didn’t give up their territorial sovereignty when they joined the federal union. And they can leave the federal union if they want. That’s true of any province. The difference is places like Ontario are not finically viable without their dependence on the west.

Maybe folks should have thought about that before talking so much shit?

Separation is the most adult thing albertans could do. Instead of continuing to give energy to an abusive relationship, they could simply withdrawn their participation. No need to fight, no need to attempt to change others, simply secure their own futures themselves.
