Today is your birthday, and we want to acknowledge this day beyond politics, public debates, courtrooms, movements and the many identities attached to your name.

Before all of that, you are a human being whose life began on a day like this. A son, a father, a brother, a husband, a friend, and a man whose journey has taken turns few could have imagined from the beginning.

Birthdays invite reflection. They remind us that behind every public figure is a private story marked by dreams and disappointments, convictions and mistakes, sacrifices and growth, laughter and pain, and the quiet passage of time.

On this birthday, we wish you strength of mind, clarity of thought, good health and the grace to meet life as it comes. We wish you genuine inner peace, for there are seasons when peace within becomes one of the most valuable things a person can protect.

May this new year bring deeper wisdom from all that has been travelled, learned, lost and preserved. And whatever history ultimately writes about this chapter, today belongs first to the simple recognition that another year of your life has arrived.

May the years ahead bring healing where healing is needed, reconciliation where reconciliation is possible, understanding where understanding is required, and the courage to face truth wherever truth presents itself.

The South East should begin massive industrialisation.

The billions we pour into gigantic village mansions that are occupied for a few days at Christmas can also build factories, industries and businesses in those same villages and cities.

We are already building the talent pipeline through ISEE education interventions, Olympiads and rigorous skills development. In the next two years, we can produce a generation of young people capable of powering these industries.

But talent without industry will simply migrate.

We must build both.

Factories. Technology. Manufacturing. Agriculture. Research. Skilled labour. Capital.

Our villages should not just have beautiful mansions. They should have industries that employ thousands of people.

We need to wake up.

If we combine our capital, talent and entrepreneurial culture with deliberate industrialisation, the South East can become one of Africa’s major centres of production, innovation and human capital within the next decade.

The next South East renaissance must be built, not merely discussed.

This is why the enemy has fought so hard from day 1 to oppress, cage, and limit the Igbos by every means possible. “Igbo landing,” “Ekumeku,” “Aba Women Riot,” “Biafran War,” and many more.

This knowledge isn’t new to me. I’m done making arguments. We’ll get to work and compel the world to hear our stories, one way or another.

There is a serious decline in the use of the Igbo language, especially among Millennials and Gen Z.

A language dies when its children stop speaking it.

If we don’t act urgently, we risk raising generations of Igbo children who cannot speak Igbo and eventually pushing the language towards extinction.

We need to make Igbo exciting again.

I remember growing up with Akụkọ Ifo, Mbe stories, proverbs, songs and folklore. They didn’t just teach us the language; they taught us who we were.

We must bring that experience back using technology, animation, games, music and storytelling.

We cannot allow that to happen to Igbo.

We’ve secured this facility for ISEE in Enugu.

It will be fully functional by the 2nd of November, 2026.

This will be our headquarters for the South East Maths and Science Olympiad and all other education interventions we embark on within the region.

Someone who can sit comfortably under a turban and publicly describe millions of Christians as “infidels” because he supports a Muslim-Muslim ticket and suddenly, with 2027 election approaching the response is over 50 Muslim and Christian leaders gathering to shake hands and sign an internationally backed peace accord whose explicit language includes “no calling of people as infidels.?

I genuinely do not get it.

The Muslim-Muslim ticket itself does not concern me politically, because that decision only reinforces one of the reasons I believe we need to go our separate way.

But let us call a spade a spade: in a secular, religiously diverse country like Nigeria, fielding a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket was deeply insensitive to the country's religious balance.
And this is not even new.
Gumi made similar inflammatory remarks in 2023. What happened to him?
Nothing.
So here we are again. An influential religious figure can use language that categorises millions of fellow citizens as infidels, national outrage follows, and instead of individual accountability, everybody is gathered together for another ceremony of handshakes, photographs and collective promises of peace.

Where is the accountability for the person whose rhetoric created the controversy?
