The group cited the arena as a threat to the Gayborhood, risking displacement of LGBTQ+ businesses, traffic gridlock, and lost job opportunities for queer artists and workers. Over 1,200 petitions were delivered to City Council and the mayor, urging them to reject the project.
Today, Reclaim supported No Arena Gayborhood's press conference calling on Philly's city officials to protect the LGBTQ+ community from the proposed 76 Place project.
