DISASTER RESPONSE MAT SU: The Red Cross is responding to multiple emergencies in the Mat-Su Valley. A shelter will open at 10:00 p.m. tonight at the Glenn Massay Theater (8295 E College Dr, Palmer, AK 99645).

At the request of the state, the Red Cross of Alaska stood up a shelter to house evacuees from the villages of Kipnuk and Kwigillingok yesterday evening. Volunteers from many different organizations stepped up to provide support.

An ERV was on the move last week to its new home at our office in Kenai! Special thanks to all the volunteers in Kenai who not only helped with the relocation, but also spent time reorganizing supplies to make sure the Red Cross is always ready for any disaster.
