The war in Ethiopia isn’t over—and neither is the battle over its narrative.
What some present ( @HilaryMatfess ) as objective analysis often reflects the same Western framing that shaped Washington’s approach during the 2020–2023 conflict.
Read @HilaryMatfess on why Ethiopia’s disagreements with Eritrea and Egypt could entrench “the country’s domestic security crisis.”

Which is why he’s trying so hard to recolonize Africa by forcing his surveillance tool (Starlink) in every corner of the continent, including South Africa (which has made it clear to him that he's not wanted). I guess he plans to electronically transfer his $800 billion fortune to Africa to make it more prosperous. A duplicitous human being.
😂 People say #Arsenal fans are #delusional, but if there were an official #DelusionOlympics, #Eritrean government propagandists would win #gold, #silver, & #bronze at the same time.
In fact, if "delusionality" could be measured on a scale from 1 to 10, they'd somehow score 15.
Congratulations to Eritrea on being elected to the powerful U.N. Economic and Social Council.
Eritrea's credentials:
🇪🇷 No elections
🇪🇷 Rape and torture
🇪🇷 Religious persecution
🇪🇷 Forced labor and slavery
🇪🇷 Jails critics and journalists
🇪🇷 Known as “the North Korea of Africa”
@LONDONERS09 Ohh, Please ...
This cat thinks also it is a lion....but what matters is what the lion would do if he meets this cat.
Can you grasp the logic
@magattew Colonialism didn't matter.
Unequal trade doesn't matter.
Debt dependency doesn't matter.
Foreign intervention doesn't matter.
Just privatize, deregulate, & wait 4 billionaires 2 save the day.
At some point, this stops being economics & starts sounding like corporate theology.
No wonder she's obsessed with privatization, capitalism, and corporate expansion.
She's basically the perfect spokesperson for both #neocolonialism and #technofeudalism—if multinational corporations and Big Tech ever needed a mascot, they'd have found one.
Just letting you know that the owner of this platform, Elon Musk (a US military contractor), who incidentally has business and political interests in Africa (primarily in South Africa), has started to personally amplify this traitor.
Tells you everything you need to know about her, her backers, and her mission.
Good‼️
Funny how "rules-based order" always means the Global South must surrender while creditors never do.
Glad Ethiopia is standing firm. Debt should not be a license for economic exploitation. #Ethiopia
Despite three weeks of negotiations to find a solution to #Ethiopia's default on its $1bn Eurobond maturing in 2024, both sides appear determined to stand their ground. Behind the threat of taking the matter to the courts in England, https://t.co/7lF1sF3pmm
@SlipSwish@DanielsonKassa1 And there are many families just like mine who lived through the same ordeal. Don't tell us what happened—we lived it. Don't lecture me about history when my family experienced it firsthand and paid the price for it.
@SlipSwish@DanielsonKassa1 The Red Cross narrative is just a convenient mask used to hide the atrocities and theft committed by the EPLF, while the TPLF looked the other way. At the time, both sides were more interested in protecting each other than acknowledging the suffering they caused.
@DanielsonKassa1 I was only 1 year old in 1991, but I grew up hearing my family's stories of being forced out of Asmara. What angers me is that our suffering was ignored for years.
For those interested, this article references what Getachew Reda wrote about it: https://t.co/YK3VjJBosG
Eritreans bemoan Meles Zenawi forcibly expelling their people from Ethiopia, but they never tell you Isias Afework expelled even more Ethiopians from Eritrea a few years earlier, before its secession. If we gonna keep score from the 1990s, let’s do the right accounting.
@TiborPNagyJr Good cop, bad cop. Same empire.
The Congress–State Department "disagreements" are theater.
The goal remains unchanged: control the Red Sea, contain Ethiopia, and check China's rise.
Different actors. Same agenda.

After blocking 🇪🇹's Somaliland MoU, Washington shifted to reshaping Red Sea geopolitics on its own terms: containing 🇪🇹, limiting China's influence, & ensuring regional dynamics remain manageable & favorable to U.S. interests.
The script changes. The objective doesn't.

‼️Don't be fooled by the staged
" #Congress vs. #StateDepartment" drama. This isn't a genuine policy split—it's political theater for public consumption.
The just issued US Govt report on "Potential Areas for Improved United States Engagement with Somaliland"
to meet a Congressional mandate is an embarrassment! Pure bureaucratic blah blah that says nothing because writers are afraid to upset Mogadishu. Sad!

US energy dominance doesn't only rely on the fact the US are the world's #1 producers of oil, gas, and refined products.
It also relies on the fact they steal others' oil, like pirating Russian tankers. Or stealing Venezuela's oil + Gaza and Syria's gas and selling it in USD.
