Excited to announce that I’ll be covering the FIFA World Cup across the United States, Canada, and Mexico starting June 11th through the Final on July 19th
I’ll still follow other news but my main focus this summer will be the World Cup here at home
FIFA has announced a new pre-game ceremony for the World Cup that will see all the players included in a matchday squad line up around the centre circle before the national anthems are played.
The ceremony will also include extra-large country flag banners and the players will enter the pitch through a dedicated arch closest to the tunnel.
FIFA’s new approach to the pre-match ceremony means that even the substitutes will be lining up on the pitch before the game kicks off.
