Peacehaven & Telscombe FC Honour Former Chairman Jim Edwards with Stand Dedication.

This morning,Peacehaven & Telscombe Football Club has paid a lasting tribute to one of its most dedicated and influential figures by naming a stand in honour of former chairman and club president, Jim Edwards.

The Jim Edwards Stand—a permanent reminder of a man whose tireless efforts helped shape the identity and success of Peacehaven FC for over four decades.

Jim Edwards, who sadly passed away in 2022, was more than just a club official. Known for his unwavering commitment, kind spirit, and hands-on leadership, he served as chairman during pivotal periods in the club’s history and was later named president in recognition of his lifelong dedication.

“Jim was the heart and soul of this football club,” said current chairperson Sue Norwood “He gave everything to Peacehaven—his time, his energy, his vision—and helped build a community that extended far beyond the pitch. Naming the stand after him is our way of saying thank you, and ensuring that his legacy lives on in the place he loved most.”

The newly named Jim Edwards Stand now bears signage in his honour, and will continue to serve as a gathering point for generations of Peacehaven supporters to come.
