I loved chatting with folks about building the future we deserve at @peopleslobbyusa's 2024 Public Meeting! Such amazing turnout and organizing energy on workers’ rights, the environment, health care, justice reform, and more 🔥
Deeply disappointed in @TheTRiiBE for refusing to respect its workers’ wishes to unionize and for this alleged act of retaliation against @corli_jay. I support the workers
We've got a lot of great photos to share. See what @BlockClubCHI reporters captured while covering the city’s neighborhoods lately!

Our September/October issue is now up, featuring the annual Library Design Showcase, an interview with @kuangrf, ALA Awards, and how librarians grapple with AI-written books. Read the full issue at https://t.co/lfqtNBs1WJ or by article at https://t.co/DsdX2BheDi
In "Books by Bots," @reemasabrina examines the challenges that the surge of #AI-generated books create for libraries—and how librarians are responding. https://t.co/EgPLe8roiv
An important story by @reemasabrina in @amlibraries on the unregulated use of AI causing disruption to the work of librarians, leading to copyright violations and encouraging plagiarism. And I wish I had known about the American Libraries Magazine earlier!

On Friday night, my former @raceandequity1 colleagues and I won two awards for our reporting on Black seniors in Chicago being disproportionately denied HELOCs and refinancing. I'm so honored & I look forward to doing more of this work in the future. https://t.co/kLV9c46sWt
Well, I've got some news! Last night, @raceandequity1 won two awards for our story looking into the struggles many Black seniors face to receive home improvement loans. It’s the first story I've worked on to be nominated and win at the Lisagors, and I couldn't be more grateful.
@questionableway can't swim has racism history and regional/class implications (like if you don't live near a body of water or there are no open pools in your area, when would you learn?) whereas an adult can probs learn how to ride a bike in like a day and maybe even by themselves
My TikTok feed is full of tongue-in-cheek recession indicators, like Lady Gaga's new return to form album and people postponing getting their roots done. But are we actually in a recession? Spoke to economists and business owners for @Suntimes about it. https://t.co/NaFiQA6MVU
Last year was my first stint in full-time freelancing. I'm grateful that it was financially viable and ultimately made projects like this. Thanks to the @headlineclub, and congrats to all the finalists this year! Also, it was a good™️ episode, listen 🎧:

I made a podcast episode that's now a finalist for a @headlineclub Lisagor Award! For @ChangeAgentspod, this story explores how Chicagoans are using the city's two-flats to build wealth and preserve affordable housing on the South and West Sides.
