@niles70743 @nickotic @sirEKfour @Neon_on_X Ye there’s scam accounts that digitally recreate my face in videos and voice and worryingly it’s getting better - but hopefully the detection tech does too it’s just hard if these scam accounts are contacting ppl directly

@nickotic @sirEKfour @Neon_on_X The issue is people do this already - they do it with my voice - so I actually think detective systems that then recompense the artist is a better guardrail than doing nothing because it doesn’t seem like this technology is going anywhere anytime soon

@nickotic @sirEKfour @Neon_on_X As long as they’re not passing it off as grimes which is what the OP is saying and it’s clearly marked so - (there would be systems that would compensate the artist) then I see no issue - the problem would be trying to falsely imitate her to scam/share problematic povs

@sirEKfour @Neon_on_X I have a totally different view on AI voice generators because in that instance “AI” is just marketing language to describe an algorithmic process that has been around for years - they just call it Ai as a selling point - same thing with stem splitters
