I find it especially interesting that the trend of fandoms traveling all the way to the Philippines to see concerts was mentioned. If I get the chance later, I definitely want to go there to enjoy the music and check out those wonderful islands too”

They collaborate and co-create for the same goal and mission. Haha!

Who are you to downplay local tourism?
Weren't some of you the same people telling the DOT to "dapat sariling bansa muna ang inuuna" when BINI was being considered as tourism ambassadors? (I'll leave the receipts in the comments.) Now that BINI has a domestic tourism campaign, suddenly "domestic" is being used as if it's an insult? That's not a flex, that's just an inconsistent argument.
A domestic tourism campaign does not mean "domestic-only ambassadors." Those are two different things. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗢𝗧 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗜𝗡𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀. Encouraging Filipinos to explore their own country is literally one of the core goals of tourism. If you think promoting local destinations is somehow inferior to promoting the country abroad, then you're the one devaluing Philippine tourism.
It's ironic because the message used to be "support local" and "dapat unahin ang sariling bansa." But now the narrative has shifted to "global > local" just because it fits a fanwar. Which is it? You can't preach patriotism one day and treat local tourism as second-class the next.
The Philippines is one of the most culturally diverse countries in Southeast Asia. Every province has its own identity, language, traditions, food, festivals, and destinations. Domestic tourism isn't a consolation prize,it strengthens local economies, supports communities, and helps preserve our culture. That's something to be proud of, not mocked.
And let's not ignore why BINI is a fitting choice. They can communicate with audiences in Tagalog, Bisaya, Bicolano, and Ilokano, allowing them to connect with people from different regions across the country. That's an advantage when the goal is to encourage Filipinos to discover more of the Philippines while also introducing our culture to international visitors.
Supporting one artist doesn't require belittling another campaign. If your favorite's achievements are strong enough, they should stand on their own without having to diminish someone else's work.
Next time, read beyond a screenshot or an AI summary before trying to lecture people about tourism. The real embarrassment isn't having a domestic campaign, it's thinking "domestic" automatically means "less than." That's a mindset that undervalues the very country you claim to represent.
And that's how creative branding works.
You don't just announce something, you build curiosity, spark conversations, and make people feel like they're piecing the story together before the official reveal. That's what makes a campaign memorable.😌

Bosses talking to bosses. 😂
And it shows. Walang tapon, walang random. Every detail was intentional and aligned with the bigger story.
Siguro kaya rin sobrang natural ng partnership na 'to kasi they know their roots. Proud silang maging Pilipino, mahal nila ang bansa, at genuine ang desire nilang makita itong umunlad. Hindi lang nila dini-display ang Philippine flag sa international stages—they carry the Filipino story with them wherever they go. That's the advantage of having artists who are also creative directors and business owners. They don't just create music; they build experiences, tell meaningful stories, and represent the country with purpose. 🇵🇭👏

”Now, let’s show the world what makes the Philippines worth coming home to.”
Goosebumps! During the WAS concert at SMDC, the sense of community was really highlighted; may banda, may get together, may Filipino foods at siyempre the PROUD pinoy music.
There's more! Hindi lang OFWs umuuwi dito sa Pinas every time may concert ang SB19, even INTERNATIONAL A'TIN na naging second home na ang Pinas dahil sa SB19. They learn our language, enjoy our foods, and become our brothers and sisters bounded by music.
The way they teased the Philippine Tourism Ambassadorship before the official announcement was brilliantly executed.
The Galingbayan Box was such a clever hint. It felt so uniquely Pinoy, yet unmistakably SB19-coded. Creative, on-brand, and memorable. Love that for them! 🇵🇭 ✨

honestly, kahit filipino ako, i’ve come to the point where I don’t want to go back to the Philippines anymore. first, i’ve spent half of my life here in Italy and second, my family is here. so, i don’t really have any reason to go back to the Philippines.
but @SB19Official came to my life, ayun in 4yrs of being an A'tin, yearly na ko umuuwi at mas nagstay pa ko ng matagal sa pinas kaysa dito sa italia 😂
i’ve also been to so many places in the Philippines because of them 😂 literal kung saan my event o concert ang esbi basta nasa pinas ako susunod ako sakanila, mapa north to south pa yan g hahaha
so yeah they truly deserve to be tourism ambassadors. sa dami ng foreigners, at lalo na ng mga pinoy, na napapauwi nila every time they have a concert, they really have such a positive impact on tourism
congrats and so proud of you Mahalima!! and thank you DOT!
