.@Sec_Noem, your options are limited:
You either resign;
Your supreme leader fires you;
Or you will be impeached.
Today, I took the first step towards your impeachment, and called on the Judiciary Committee to open an investigation into your lawlessness.
When we fight, we win!
Thanks to our advocacy and work, the courts struck down the Trump administration's orders to stop processing visas and asylum cases.
Providing refuge to the tired and persecuted is a fundamental promise of our nation. We must protect it.
A federal judge strikes down a Trump administration policy enacted after the shooting of two National Guard members that made it harder for immigrants from dozens of countries to stay and enter the country. https://t.co/juc5IJr8eE
For over 20 years, Sonia served as the Parent Mentor Coordinator with Palenque LSNA, training parents to become partners in their schools, advocates in their communities, and leaders in education.
It is my honor to commend Sonia for her decades of mentorship, leadership, and community building that reshaped Logan Square.
I join human rights defenders across the world calling for the immediate release of Ruth Eleonora López.
Ruth is a Salvadoran lawyer and human rights defender who has been held in pre-trial detention for over a year without due process or access to her family or lawyer.
I stand in solidarity with Ruth, her family, and those who refuse to be silent in demanding justice, accountability, and transparency from Bukele’s government in El Salvador.
Gun violence tears families and communities apart.
#NationalGunViolenceAwarenessDay serves as a reminder we can build safe and peaceful communities.
Let's strengthen effective community violence prevention programs. Let's pass gun reform to get ghost guns off our streets. Let's invest in community violence interrupters. Let's support survivors and local organizations, end gun violence, and save lives.
I am clear: As a Member of Congress I will continue to conduct oversight of DHS and Markwayne, and demand accountability from every single person in this administration who waged a war of terror in our communities.

Early this morning, the Senate passed a $70 billion reconciliation bill to give ICE and CBP more funding to terrorize our communities, and violate our rights. To avoid all transparency and accountability, they voted down EVERY amendment to protect our communities and rein in Trump's corruption while Americans slept.
We must hold the line as it moves to the House next week. NO more money to ICE and CBP. No more slush funds for corruption. We must dismantle DHS and abolish ICE!
JUST IN: The Senate has voted to approve a $70 billion immigration enforcement package that includes nothing to rein in the "anti-weaponization" fund.

Trump and Netanyahu have continued their unlawful military operations across the Middle East. Block the Bombs is needed more than ever.
They will not stop until Congress has the moral clarity and courage to act. Let’s bring Block the Bombs to the floor!
A year ago, 21 members of Congress joined me to introduce the Block the Bombs Act to withhold weapons from Israel that were being used to violate U.S. and international law.
Today, we are proud to have 73 bipartisan cosponsors.
We must demand an end to U.S. complicity in destruction, displacement, and death in Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon.
It's time to Block the Bombs!
Whether it's Lebanon, Gaza, or Iran — the United States and Israel are violating U.S. and international law. And this Congress has failed to stop them.
Impunity cannot be - SHOULD NOT - an option. No more excuses.
We must pass the Lebanon War Powers Resolution today!
The people of Lebanon can't wait another month for Congress to act. Americans do not want Congress to wait another month to act.
We are watching another catastrophe of U.S. complicity in destruction, displacement, and death unfold.
We must pass the Lebanon War Powers Resolution TODAY.
The people of Lebanon can't wait another month for Congress to act. Every day that we do nothing, 11 more Lebanese children are killed or injured by the Israeli military in this U.S.-supported invasion. Congress must pass today's Lebanon War Powers Resolution.
Thank you Rep. Ramirez for your leadership in introducing the Block the Bombs Act, a critical bill to stop arms transfers to Israel. Amnesty has documented extensive evidence of the grave violations of international law committed by Israel, including genocide, yet arms transfers continue. We call on all Members of Congress to urgently co-sponsor H.R. 3565 - and pass it.
When I confronted Markwayne yesterday, I wore a bracelet made by a student I met just last week.
The bracelet represents the reasons I fight and reminds me I am not alone!
For all the students and families I bring with me when I go to Washington, D.C., thank you for giving me strength.
A year ago, I introduced Block the Bombs to withhold the weapons from Israel that are being used to displace and murder Palestinians. Our fight has not ended.
Today, I stood with the powerful coalition continuing the fight to BLOCK THE BOMBS!
We will not stop until Block the Bombs becomes law.
Yesterday, we raised our voices in unison.
At the U.S. Capitol, leaders from Hispanic Federation’s #HFEncuentroNacional stood alongside Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Congressman Jesus “Chuy” García, @repdeliaramirez, @RepPabloJose to send a clear message to Congress: Vote No on this reconciliation bill.
The bill being debated allocates $72 billion in new anti-immigrant crackdown spending that would target our communities. People are demanding something different: protections, not punishment. Access to health care. Bolstering nonprofits. A seat at the table on AI and technology. Policies that keep families together.
The fight continues, elected officials and partner organizations representing all stripes of American life reminded Washington that we are here; we are organized, and that we matter.
Our partners spoke up on behalf of their communities and made it clear why their voices must be heard by Congress. Thank you @latinopolicyforum, Despierta, @LatinoLeader, ASPIRA Association, and @ElConcilioCA for sharing your perspectives at the press conference.
