Residents of any community where data centers are being proposed deserve a say in their construction.

When @POTUS launched his illegal war with Iran, he said it would wrap up in days. We lost the queen of country music today, but Dolly Parton’s philanthropic generosity will live on in our hearts forever. Dolly always reminded us to be authentically ourselves. She rose to fame and fortune writing and producing her own songs while never forgetting and always embracing her humble roots in Locust Ridge, Tennessee. Rest in peace, Dolly. We will always love you.

@SCOTUS undermines our democracy with a ruling on @POTUS’s emergency order to restrict mail-in ballots.  Trump knows the more people who vote in November the greater the chances are Republicans will lose. The Court upheld Trump’s order temporarily but legal challenges remain.  Nevada’s mail voting program is safe snd effective.  We Nevadans will not be manipulated by Trump to achieve his political ends.

Today’s announcement that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation could cut Nevada’s allocation of Colorado River water by 70 percent amounts to a death sentence for Southern Nevada. We could not survive a cut of that magnitude. The BOR misled us last week in saying our allocation would be cut by 17 percent over the next two years. They neglected to disclose that the Record of Decision they issued gives the BOR the authority to reduce our allocation by up to 70 percent over the subsequent eight years. This is outrageous duplicity and I will make every effort to hold the responsible BOR officials accountable.
