Peanut farmers are hurting because China is no longer buying our peanuts.
The Chinese purchasing of our peanuts has fallen from $75 million in 2024 to less than $20 million in 2025 because of Trump's tariff war.
The Iran war has also led to a skyrocketing of diesel costs and equipment cost.
We need to push to open markets in China for our farmers. That is why I visited peanut farmers this week in Dawson, GA.
@hinsonashley Thank you! We will need your vote for Epstein Files Transparency Act II as well! How about signing the discharge petition? Right now only 4 republicans have taken that step.
I appreciate @SanfordBishop’s leadership and support for American cotton growers. We’ll work together to ensure polyester is also banned from Xinjiang and push China to buy more American cotton. U.S. cotton exports to China fell by 4 million bales from 2023/4 to just 800,000 this past year. We need to stand up for American farmers.
The war in Iran continues and Congress is on vacation until November.
Gas prices are well over $4. Diesel prices are over $6.
I’m demanding that Congress return to Washington and vote to end the war.
Today, we remember all of the victims of the Oct 7th terrorist attack. Thinking of Jon and Rachel Polin, who I had the honor of meeting, and who lost their beloved son Hersh. I pray we can break the cycle of violence and bring a just peace to the Middle East.
I’m reintroducing the Campus Accountability and Safety Act.
This bill would force universities to report sexual assault incidents to the federal government, require clear processes for investigating and reporting sexual assault, and guarantee justice for survivors.
Egypt’s arrest of the six journalists at Matsadaash is a brazen assault on press freedom.
I agree with Human Rights Watch, Reporters Without Borders and the 80 other groups objecting to “Egyptian authorities’ failure to allow free expression to thrive.”
Our office has officially become the first in the history of the U.S. Congress to sign a long-term union contract.
Incredibly proud of my team and their hard work.
Three simple ideas to stop corruption in government:
✅ Get money out of politics.
✅ Stop insider trading by federal elected officials.
✅ Prosecute the Epstein class.
ChatGPT literally helped plan a mass shooting.
Eight people were killed.
We need to hold the executives of these AI companies civilly and criminally liable when their models cause this kind of catastrophic harm.
The tech lords use jargon to confuse.
They count on the tech illiteracy of the elected class.
They hope we won’t look under the hood.
They know they can’t gaslight me.
This is the most comprehensive AI safety legislation to date.

I am opposing Section 219, that would integrate our military with Israel’s.
The United States does not have this arrangement with any other country in the world.
We need to stand up for American sovereignty and strip this provision from the final NDAA.
I introduced the Free Childcare for America Act.
This is the boldest childcare proposal we have ever had.
It would provide free childcare to millions, while giving families the flexibility to choose the form of childcare that works best for them.
Trump went to the UN to say “to the victor belong the spoils” and America should take whatever it can.
I laid out a different vision of American foreign policy during UNGA at Asia Society.
I called for principle over power, a rejection of might makes right, and America being a friend to the world.

I asked Dr. Geoffrey Hinton and Lt. Gen. Shanahan if the US has the technical capacity to monitor advanced AI models at frontier labs.
They said no.
We need a new generation of leadership that understands technology and can build this capacity for our government.
Colead of the Epstein Files Transparency Act II, @RepRoKhanna, breaks down how the bill would empower states and survivors to hold perpetrators accountable.
Every House Democrat signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act II petition, forcing a vote when the House returns to session in November.
@USProgressives will continue to lead the charge for transparency and accountability.
TODAY: @RepRoKhanna will convene a virtual hearing calling for a U.S.-China agreement to responsibly pace the development of AI and address shared risks, like loss of control and misalignment. Watch the hearing live here: https://t.co/WcLAkJCHJs
