@Harry_pitt Exactly the attitude that needs to be had, most nationalists are so because they care about their people and the future and that is it, it’s natural and certainly nothing negative.
@LeighQuilter Really I think Steve himself knows 100% isn’t achievable or even wanted by most but I think he knows the role he’s playing is the tip of the spear which helps create the room for us by shifting the Overton window.
Back from Makerfield, and honestly, I was exhausted. I got in at 11, slept, woke up at 3 to watch the result, and fell straight to sleep again.
I'll say a few things;
To the voters of Makerfield, this was the "get rid of Starmer" election.
It was so noticeable on the ground that Andy Burnham was running as Vote Andy, not Labour.
Reform and Restore completely missed this memo.
On Rebecca's result, we're 3 months old and took just under 7%, I'll take it. We get away with it, as this really was a special by election.
We've got a Tory and Labour MP up on rape charges at the moment. There could be elections there.
The Tory, two seats over from Rupert's, and Jacob Rees Mogg's old seat.
These are seats we need a good showing in.
In regards to the attacks on Rebecca. She had balls of steel stand. Our first by election. And a local lass took up the task.
She warrants no cristism.
My points would be this;
Use by-elections to upskill our activist base. I'm seasoned, but many I met were not.
We need to use the next by election to focus on finding out who our activists are, strengths and weaknesses, and incentives to come down to help out.
We should have been given hats and t-shirts verbatim.
Huge error.
Stop the influencer worship, I get it nice to see them, but the core of the party is the activists. These people need to be secondary to the operation.
We can go into the mayoral election in Manchester, and we should stand @MarlonTag
Purely on a 'expose the Rape Gangs' ticket. Nothing else.
Great, and incredibly brave bloke. See the @rapeganginquiry
Spoken before, and he's a Tameside lad, perfect candidate.
Please don't be disheartened.
I met so many of you, passionate, hard working, wanting for your kids and grandkids.
3 months old, 7%.
We go from here. :)
George 🇬🇧
Here's me spotting Ed Miliband.
Overall, fantastic day! 👏
So it’s voting day in makerfield, I think we’re going to win today, imo anything north of 8% is a win, for such a young party it’d be very impressive, anything above 15% would be ground shaking in the political sphere.
@realSi_jeff Of course it would be. No other party gets the GY results then follows it up with a 8%+ result in a major by-election within its first 4 months of being a party. 8% and upwards is a massive win when out in context.
Resources, less than Labour & Reform no doubt, focus, yes because we have a grassroots like no other. No other party gets the GY results then follows it up with a 8%+ result in a major by- election within its first 4 months of being a party. 8% and upwards is a massive win when out in context.
The Rape Gang Inquiry - what happens next.
I intend to use my parliamentary privilege to name perpetrators and their enablers in the chamber.
This will be done incredibly carefully with our legal team involved every step of the way to ensure that no future prosecutions are jeopardised.
We are cooperating with the authorities in order to help cases be opened and reopened, but my faith in the system to independently deliver justice is not high...
That is why we are pursuing private prosecutions and civil litigation.
A target list has been identified, and it continues to grow.
This all has to be handled very carefully, for obvious reasons, but I am determined to act. We have had enough talk, now we need to act.
Our aim is straightforward.
Put people in prison. Deliver justice. Finally.
We will act. Not talk.
Whatever the outcome is on Thursday, one thing is for sure, Restore are here, here to stay and take over. No other party has a grass roots movement like ours 🇬🇧
