The Rt Hon Esther McVey MP hosted a UK Parliamentary roundtable in collaboration with Revvity to discuss the importance of screening and diagnosing Type 1 diabetes in the UK, including its impact on children.
During the event, Prof. Valentino Cherubini provided insights into the progress being made in Italy and highlighted the economic challenges posed by Type 1 diabetes. Dr. Sufyan Hussain shared details about his efforts to raise awareness of the condition.
The key takeaway was a call to action: with the number of undiagnosed cases of Type 1 diabetes on the rise, there is an urgent need to prioritize screening and early diagnosis to prevent serious health complications.
Better models only move science forward when the data behind them is consistent.
See how automation and collaboration are helping bridge the gap between complexity and confidence in 3D cell model research. https://t.co/7KSOkcZkpd

Turku University Hospital has a beautiful tradition of gifting every newborn a pair of knitted socks but recently, they ran out and called for donations.
Our Turku colleagues stepped in, using their knitting skills to create 96 pairs of tiny wool socks, each made with care, warmth, and heart.
Last week, we had the privilege of delivering them to the maternity ward, where they will help keep newborns warm during their very first days.
A simple gesture but one that brings comfort, kindness, and a sense of community.
The signs of preeclampsia can begin long before symptoms appear.
The ASPRE study is helping shift preeclampsia care toward earlier detection and prevention. And we are helping bring earlier risk assessment into routine pregnancy care.
