@RCTCouncil @swpolice There is a rainbow sheen of an oil or diesel leak for the full length of Rhigos Mountain Road A4061 . Very slippery and dangerous : worse travelling to Treherbert.

@RCTCouncil @AndrewMorganRCT dashcam from 8am today. Grit has been ineffective , was it gritted last night or this morning for commuters? Also, poor drainage means running water has made sheet ice overnight. Very dangerous.

@RCTCouncil Rhigos Mountain Road a4061 dangerous again at the moment. A large snow storm had made conditions treacherous. Best avoided or closed.
All mountain roads now open. See attached.

Further essential work will take place at a separate location on the road next week. This will require two overnight road closures, with exact dates and details to be confirmed shortly. Thank you to residents and road users for your patience (3/3)
Temporary traffic lights have been put in place at the pictured location as a necessary safety measure. Mitigation work will begin tomorrow (Wednesday, February 26), with initial repairs carried out under traffic lights over the coming days (2/3)
