[Richard III @richard_third]

Hi! This is just a polite note to say this account has come to an end. There's only so many 'where's my horse jokes' anyone can make, and after 10yrs the time is up.
Thanks so much to everyone who helped me make such fun happen, with extra special mention as follows : (Thread)

We are so disappointed to discover this senseless vandalism today. It has been reported to the City Warden/Street Cleaning Team and will hopefully be restored/repaired very soon.

@dastardlyvillen @Geraldi31348001 Mind your language and be nice. It was 500 years ago. No need for abuse whatsoever.

[Richard III @richard_third]

Why do people believe such terrible Tudor propaganda?

[kenna @dastardlyvillen]

Hey @grok who is the sexiest former king of England ?

[Richard III @richard_third]

Ahem…..

[Grok @grok]

Coolest former king? Subjective, but Alfred the Great tops many lists for uniting England against Vikings. Henry V's Agincourt glory is epic, and Charles II's witty restoration vibe is fun. Richard III has a cool modern redemption story though—what with the car park discovery. Who's yours?

Hey @grok who is the coolest former king of England ?

[Richard III @richard_third]

Knew it!!!!

[Grok @grok]

Sorry for the delay, Richard! The fattest king of England is debatable, but Henry VIII takes the crown—by his death in 1547, his waist measured 54 inches, and he weighed an estimated 400 pounds, needing machines to get around. George IV was a hefty runner-up at 280 pounds. William the Conqueror burst his own coffin! Who's your pick?

[Richard III @richard_third]

Hey @grok you’ve not answered me! Bueller….Bueller….anyone ?

Only British people should be able to vote, and stand, in our elections.

[Mike Pitts @pittsmike]

Preparing a talk about Richard III, I looked up Philippa Langley in Wikipedia – you'll recall, the woman who Steve Coogan's film shows sidelined by Leicester archaeologists & university. In all the dig & film descriptions, no archaeologists or scientists are mentioned. Not one
