@ThisIsNuse@BittrexExchange Heh... this reminds me of when we moved cold storage from our v1 solution to our v2 one. We sat in a room and rolled dice. At the time I thought it was the dumbest thing... Recent events have made me rethink that thought...
@Bagillionaire Looking back now, I feel like we did that… We just weren’t good some of the other non technical stuff. I still stand by the fact our tech stack was (and maybe is) more robust and secure than anything that was out.
Sigh... I remember having to wait weeks if not months for us to design and test a light/dark mode UI for Bittrex. I just did it for this App I'm writing in one prompt and about 30 seconds ;(
@Bagillionaire This convo comes up every once in a while but the gap Bittrex filled back then has been filled with much more capable players. Our original thesis was already, bring maturity, enterprise level services, and god forbid a complete and working API to the ecosystem.
Heh, had a notification that someone reposted a tweet from 2014 this morning. Read it and reminded me of the time someone tried to get us to list a coin, but they put a back door in the coin code. Scary days back then … Glad I don’t have to worry about that anymore ;)
'Twas the night before Christmas, in the world of crypto trade,
All the wallets were buzzing, every gain and loss weighed.
Bittrex had dropped their newest festive delight,
An ugly sweater so charming, it lit up the night.
Though Bittrex is silent, its echoes still resound,
In every crypto heart, its influence is found.
Ugly sweaters spread cheer in markets new and old,
A timeless nod to Bittrex, where memories unfold.

As Bitcoin crosses another ATH at 95k, reminds me of the time we pitched @BittrexExchange to a VC fund in June of 2015…. The slide deck was a gem.. but these stats at $230/BTC is hilarious
