I’m not saying we all took them for granted but I personally feel a bit guilty not appreciating them more. 🥹
Have I ever mentioned I think Carey will be back? Yes I have. I know it’s crazy and love is blind but one last dance.

Cole Caufield’s hockey origins began in Wisconsin: “Our whole childhood was basically one long drive to some hockey rink in the Midwest. And yes, this is my backstory. BUCKLE UP, BABY. I know how these things work.
We grew up in Wisconsin, and if you don’t know much about American hockey, then you probably think, ’OK, so that’s like Minnesota and Michigan, right? Powerhouse.’
But in terms of hockey culture, at least at that time, if you were a Wisconsin kid, everybody kind of looked at you like, ‘Ehhh. I dunno.’
The competition just wasn’t the same. If you wanted to make a name for yourself, you had to go to play in tournaments in Chicago or Minnesota or Detroit. So that’s what we did. We drove. Or I should say, that’s what my parents did. I didn’t do jack s***! Hahahah. They did all the work. I sat in the back and watched movies and tried to hold my pee like a hero. As I got older — around 12 or 13 — I got a chance to go play for Team Illinois. Without blinking an eye, my dad was like, ‘Let’s do it.’
An easy weekend was a 4-hour drive. But sometimes we’d have games in Detroit, and it was 8 hours each way. We’d hit the road after school on Thursday and be gone til Sunday. My mom was a third grade teacher, so she couldn’t leave her class. It would just be me and my dad, and my dad…. Well, he’s a wildman. He coached and ran our local rink. Kind of like the ultimate Hockey Dad.” https://t.co/LrwA5E4BQ1

OLD-SCHOOL KNOWLEDGE THAT COULD SAVE YOU MODERN HEADACHES:
1. Baking soda cleans almost everything. Grease, odors, stains, blocked drains. One box does what ten products claim to do.
2. Vinegar removes hard water stains. Pour it on taps, showerheads, tiles. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Wipes clean with minimal scrubbing.
3. Cool running water on a burn, not ice and not butter. Both damage skin further. Cool running water for 10 to 20 minutes is the correct first response. Aloe vera or a sterile dressing after that.
4. Honey never expires. It works as a natural antibacterial on cuts and sore throats. Archaeologists found sealed pots of honey in Egyptian tombs that were still edible after 3,000 years. Ancient medicine that still holds up.
5. Walking solves more problems than sitting and worrying. A walk resets your nervous system, clears your head, and gives you perspective. Science backs this, not just instinct.
6. Ginger settles an upset stomach. Fresh ginger or ginger tea for nausea is not folklore. The evidence is strongest for morning sickness and post-surgery nausea. One of the most well-documented natural remedies out there.
7. Garlic is a real antimicrobial. It contains allicin, a compound released when you crush or chew a clove. Antibacterial, antifungal, and studied extensively. Not a cure-all, but the science behind it is solid.
8. Splashing cold water on your face genuinely resets your alertness. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system almost immediately, slowing your heart rate and breathing. The same reflex your body uses to conserve oxygen underwater. A real physiological reset.
9. Sleep is the most powerful recovery tool you have. No supplement, no food, no life hack replaces it. The brain clears waste, muscles repair, and memory consolidates during deep sleep. Our ancestors slept with the sun. Chronic sleep deprivation is a modern problem and a serious one.
A final piece of advice from Holly Butcher - written the day before she passed away from cancer at just 27:
“It’s a strange thing knowing you’re going to die young.
At 26, I thought I had time…
To fall in love.
Start a family.
Grow old.
But cancer doesn’t care about plans.
Now, I understand how fragile life really is. Every single day is a gift, not a guarantee.
I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing to remind you: really live.
Stop stressing over little things. Be kind to your body- move it, nourish it, stop criticizing it. One day you’ll wish you had appreciated it.
Go outside.
Look at the sky.
Feel the sun.
Just be.
Spend less time chasing “stuff” - more time making memories. Don’t skip moments with people you love.
Laugh more.
Write a note.
Tell someone you love them.
Complain less.
Give more.
Helping others brings more joy than anything you can buy.
Be present.
Put your phone down.
Show up - really show up.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect body, or a perfect life.
Just follow what makes your heart light up. Say no to what drains you. Make changes when you need to.
And please - donate blood. I wouldn’t have had that extra year without it. And that year gave me memories I’ll hold close… forever.
Thank you for reading this.
Live your life well.
And maybe… we’ll meet again someday.”

"You took a risk on me ... who had never acted ... and years later, you and I are sitting here ... I want to thank you for really changing my life"
🚨🗣 Kaka: “I did everything I could to save my marriage, but there's something I learned: you can't force someone to stay with you if they've already decided to leave.
“In 2015, my wife told me she didn't want to be married anymore. I clung to the idea of fighting, of showing her we could get back what we had. I read a book that proposed a 40-day challenge to win back your partner; I did it twice. Gifts, letters, unexpected surprises… but in the end, she just kept repeating, 'I don't want it anymore.'
“It was a brutal blow. As a Christian, divorce wasn't in my plans. The Bible says marriage is forever, but what do you do when the other person no longer wants to continue? I fought until the end, until I understood something key: love can't be forced. Love is a daily choice. And if someone stops choosing you, you have to learn to let go.”
It's ok, I don't need to sleep. You go ahead with your fireworks... Thanks @PeelPolice@YRP@OPP@TorontoPolice

Hey @Nike
I'm a new customer, never wore Nike until this year. But the pairs of shoes I purchased make a squeek every step I take. Is there anything we can do about this?
