@ProtonVPN OTOH there's talk that the EU wants to ban VPNs outright, so there's that.
Allegedly because of the age verification thing, but likely to prevent people circumventing EU social media censorship.
@MichaelTaricani@QueenAnticommie If I see a sign like this I conclude that the restaurant is flat-out exploiting its workers. The sheer audacity of admitting it and trying to guilt customers into making up the shortfall!
@bastlvb79@ProtonMail I need this functionality as well. It's the one reason I'm not using Proton Calendar and have been forced to continue using Google Calendar.
I don't see how it's a security risk to allow Proton Calendar (or mail) to import info from the phone's Contacts app.
@ProtonSupport Currently Windows, but I'm planning to switch to Linux at some point and I'll need it there as well. Many websites that don't allow VPNs seem to use several different IP addresses and it just isn't feasible to add them all to the exclude list.
@ProtonMail Why can't I *send* from a simplelogin alias? That makes it so much harder to conceal my real address when I have to do more than click on a confirmation link that arrives by email!
@catholic_comedy Owning my "no". The reason is simply that I just don't get on with communal recitations of repetitive prayers. I zone out and my mind goes everywhere but the prayer. I've got to pray it by myself to stay focused.
@johncwright2001@lampwright4 This is what I was taught at school, but then we were also forbidden to use "nice" in its present meaning, and split infinitives were anathema. The overwhelming weight of usage meant that all those ships had sailed long ago even back then.
@cemkansu@veggie_eric Pull the other one. π€£In what part of the world are academic standards so low that ANY amount of duolingo compares with 4 semesters of university study? Duo exists to serve advertising and ensure people never become proficient enough to move on from the platform. That is all.
@veggie_eric Duolingo exists to serve advertising to people who think they're learning a language. It's against their business model to help you become proficient, because then you'd eventually leave the platform. Much more profitable to make it an addictive game.
@great2run Well run!
I'm hoping for a short easy run myself this evening. Haven't been feeling quite right for a few days, so I've been giving my body some rest, but it's starting to get frustrating and I really want to get some miles in.
