SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Josh Rodewald is one of the top returning linemen in Class 2A after a breakout sophomore season at Royal Valley. The 6’2”, 250-pound force on both sides of the ball recorded 63 tackles, 5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup from his defensive end position. He earned SIK Honorable Mention 2A All-State and was named to the SIK Non-Senior First Team. Rodewald brings power and athleticism, with a 465-pound squat, 275 bench, and a 4.9 40-yard dash. He will be a key piece of a Royal Valley team looking to take a big step in 2025. “I’m really excited to get back out on the field with my boys,” Rodewald said. “It’s been a good offseason where many of us have put in lots of work. We’re looking to shock a lot of people by making a deep playoff run after losing multiple key starters from last year.” #sportsinkansas
