The adventure is over but for so many of us, the memories will last a lifetime. I’ll never ever forget that 7 days with my Dad in Boston for the Morocco match. One of the best weeks of both of our lives. It was an honour to be there.
@nr147 Thanks a lot Neil. Social media can sometimes be dominated by negativity. This is one such example where it can work really well. The more stories the better and plse spread the word. It’s an invite for anyone who would like to come. April 16th Sheff Cathedral. 1pm.x

After 20 years of travelling to Uganda, it’s been an absolute joy to bring my wife & son to the Pearl at last. The come back against SA for 3-3 last week was among many highlights. Sincere thanks to everyone for the amazing hospitality. This is a very special country. Asanti Sana
.@RwenzoriMarathn Back on Socials after almost a year to focus on the family & delighted to be back in Uganda for one of my favourite weekends of the year. @wekesa_amos what an event you have created! Non stop party from start to finish! You shd be so proud. Honour to be here. 🇺🇬
.@RwenzoriMarathn Broken now, but my 50 year old legs dragged me round to 1.46 & top 3 Mzungu I think & my son was allowed to give me my finishers medal. The hospitality, courtesy & reception given to Becky & Arthur has been outstanding on our 1st family holiday here. 👊🏻
.@Ssenyonyiderick Best of luck with your exhibition night tomorrow in Kampala Derrick. You are a great young photographer doing a brilliant job promoting your country. See you down in the Pearl again soon my friend. Good luck!
A run in the sun around the Shire. So nice to have had 10 nights in my own bed after an incredible Summer for OBS on the Olympics & @Channel4 on the Paras. Just about to rejoin all my snooker mates for Eng Open in Essex & British Open in Cheltenham. Can’t wait to see you all! 👊🏻
.@ntvuganda I’ve witnessed great progress in East Africa over last 20 yrs. Stunning part of World with amazing people. But the treatment of successful female athletes by jealous husbands/b-friends must now be addressed. This is utterly appalling https://t.co/RFwZrCbqWv
@wekesa_amos Can’t wait to be back. I can see this run as a huge part of Ugandan tourism going forward. Good luck Amos. There are still far too many outdated stereotyped views of East African events and culture. This is cutting edge & a great advert for the country & region. Go well my friend
.@RwenzoriMarathn Good luck to everyone doing 1 of the best half marathons in the world this w-e. I LOVED running this last yr. OG & Paralympics the only reason I’m not there. I’ll be back in 25. @wekesa_amos & team have a world class event on their hands. 🇺🇬🇬🇧
Cannot wait to get on air. This is going to be utterly epic. Multiple World Records over the next 10 days. I honestly believe this is the best assembled global field of Athletes we’ve seen for more than a decade. Let the greatest Athletics show on earth commence.
