If you were planning to seek a permanent stay of an upcoming criminal trial on the basis that your public notoriety has poisoned the jury pool, you'd want to be a bit careful about how much of that publicity you've been generating yourself.
@socratesccost @NLC_74 @yes23au Mate, can you share an actual copy of the document supposedly obtained from NIAA? What’s written here isn’t even close to the truth
@NDIS Is there a specific number I should call when NDIA staff refuse to follow the law and waste tax payer funds or should I just stay on hold until I speak to a person?
They made her fight to the very end. They stole her time. They stole her carer’s time. Even after we fought their incompetence in the AAT they cut her funding and made her fight again. The system is beyond broken. It’s criminal #ndisroboplan@NDIS @billshortenmp @ndisroboplan
@juliettemcaleer@NDIS Submit an internal review and then appeal to the Tribunal. Sounds like a highly questionable interpretation of the legislation. I’m sorry you’re going through this
@jf_mcl@JaneCaro@MagdaSzubanski@ABCthedrum No, but the idea that weight is all about “personal choices” is unrealistic and toxic. It means that thinness is linked with moral virtue. It means that kids like me grow up with eating disorders.
@theTiser “Investigation” is an interesting description for pretending to have lived experience of disability, joining a Facebook group, and then taking screenshots of personal comments 😂
I'm not saying that these conditions automatically spell death, but I am saying that without clarity about what is being said, we progressively chip away at our aversion to distinguishing between the "pure" and the "diseased". It must stop. Every death deserves sorrow & respect.
I've finally worked out why the constant statement of "underlying conditions" irks me so much when reporting Covid deaths. There is an implied end to the sentence which we all understand. What they are really saying is ...(and so we shouldn't be too concerned). Well, I am.
@katew5000 thank you for opposing mandatory “independent” assessments. It’s good to have a disability minister who listens to people with disability #NDIS#NT
