We are deeply saddened by the passing of Roberta Vaughn—a beloved friend, collaborator, and voice in the adventure game community. To many, she was a superstar—radiating warmth, wit, and passion for the games and players she championed.

Before Colossal Cave returned in its modern form, Roberta was already there—supporting, promoting, and believing in it. Her spirit lives on in every adventure we continue to create and share.

This photo captures a special moment—one filled with warmth and connection. “I love how I’m wearing a heart pendant as we embrace,” Roberta Williams wrote. “It just felt right.”

Our hearts are with everyone who knew and loved Roberta Vaughn.
