I live in perpetual wonder that I'm lucky enough to edit a travel magazine as my job. Thrilled to win travel editor of the year again
It's thanks to our team & freelancers, who work hard to publish the best travel writing and bias-free journalism that goes beyond the headlines
The irony of Europe's 'greenest' airline encouraging people to take unlimited flights reflects how most airlines really don't care about climate change
They will put profit first, always
"Passengers should look behind the headline price to work out if this really is a deal. Once booking fees, seat selectionย and luggage costs are added on, travellers will see costs spiral." - @roryboland, Editor of @WhichUK Travel

We had a look at UK summer train 'deals', many aimed at families. Some great bargains out there, especially on LNER
But the 'Long Weekender' deal from Great Western is rubbish. It's cheaper to book advance tickets (even a few days before travel) or the usual super off peak
Got car hire already booked this summer?
Prices have dropped dramatically (44% on average)
You'll almost certainly save, possibly hundreds of pounds if you cancel your existing summer booking and rebook at the new price

We asked 7,000 passengers how long they spent queuing at UK airports to see if paying for fast track to jump the security queue was actually worth it?

@worldlyadventur I would genuinely be fascinated to see a step by step breakdown of the thought process that goes into emails like this beyond me, me, me.
Going to be a tough day for passengers as the summer break gets underway
Best way to avoid the chaos is to not check in bags. That's where the worst queues are, and bags always get lost in IT outages. If you do check bags in make sure keys, medicine etc are in your hand luggage
Very sad to see my alma mater, Bangor, in last place.
Far too many visitors have not walked down Garth Pier, one of the best in the UK, and had the Bara Brith at Whistlestop cafe.
Crail, Swanage and Tynemouth just some of the destinations rated in the top 10 in our monster list of the UK's best seaside towns
More than 100 places rated by more than 5,000 visitors

I know it's been a difficult, and at times even embarrassing few years to be British; so I am here to reassure you that German airports, much like their trains, are even more of an omnishambles of heilloses Durcheinander than ours
They can't even get the signs right
