@CSMFHT@ecce_michael@romanhelmetguy I see.
It could be read that he told them to halt, while he was already on the promontory. I didn’t read it that way, I read it that all that was taking place after he told them to halt.
@ecce_michael’s use of the commas was similar to older English writers. Hence my reading.
@KilroyJCNJ@GeorgeFromNY1 It’s worth watching, it’s an older movie, peak 90s fun. Know it’s a ‘fun’ movie and not movie trying to show the book.
I love both.
@SVDoomBC@BlitheringIdjit@CLT_Exam One of the great Christian authors of the past century, CS Lewis, had a Classical Education.
Additionally, Paul, likely because he was highly educated, had read and understood Greek/Classical writings, hence the discussion he has in Acts 17.
@orthodoxmason Great post.
Clarification question.
Is the bottom right stone wrong, because it isn’t a little bit longer than the stone above it?
Also, what is a good book to learn more about masonry?

@TheAliceSmith@Hitchslap1 You’re conflating two ideas to a functioning high IQ person.
Making the bed everyday is a choice. Attending meetings on time is a societal function built on ‘we need to do these things,’ that if they were actually important, would be attended and valued.
Time is valuable.
@ChHouseBooks RL Stines Goosebumps.
Welcome to Camp Nightmare, Say Cheese & Die, Return of the Mummy.
Then a family friend gave me The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, because she knew I read Goosebumps.
Without that book, I wouldn’t be who I am.
@keithwalkiewicz I took Drafting and CAD in high school. Me and a buddy were so good/ahead that our teacher said don’t worry about doing the work I’m assigning. I’m going to get you on at a company as an intern in place of doing your school work.
He did and we did. I’ll never forget that man.
