I don't understand what people find so complicated about why there are so many Knicks fans there. The Sixers are down 3-0, haven't been past the 2nd round this entire era.
Because of secondary markets, even if you sold Sixers fans cheap tickets they'd resell them to Knicks fans at much higher prices.
Knicks fans are more willing to spend money on the tickets than Sixers fans, which makes sense to me.
Not defending the secondary market stuff, which is a whole other issue and has turned season ticket holders largely into ticket brokers to afford it. It just sort of is what it is.
I don't blame Sixers fans, I don't think it makes you a bigger tougher fan to spend money on a product you don't believe it. I don't blame Sixers players for hating it.
Joel Embiid just said that the Knicks fans made the Sixers-Knicks games in Philadelphia two years ago feel like “Madison Square Garden East” and implored fans to not sell their tickets and fill the arena with Sixers fans.
For all Knicks and Giants fans. This is what I’m attempting:
Knicks at 7pm - watch the first half or as close to it as possible. Then pause.
Switch to NFL draft. Try to make it to pick 5. Then pause. At this point put the phone away. Use as much discipline as possible. I can do it.
Back to the Knicks 3rd qt. Then pause.
Back to draft. Fast forward all commercials and banter I don’t care about.
Back to finish of the Knicks.
Back to the rest of the 1st round.
Put the phone away. You can do it.
The last time a veteran non-quarterback was traded for a Top 10 pick was 21 years ago—when the @Vikings traded Hall of Fame WR Randy Moss to the @Raiders for the seventh overall pick and a seventh rounder.
Safe to say the @Giants did well with the return for Dexter Lawrence.
