An option to stop FSD without it being an intervention. Maybe you realize you want to turn in to a plaza last minute, or you are at your destination but it wants to go further, you see a friend outside and want to stop but itโs going to keep going to park, or you just feel like driving for a bit.
Those scenarios should be different than anything critical or navigational issues. It can just be an extra button on the screen to Stop Self Driving
@SDembraski When it gets stuck and doesnโt move but doesnโt park either, usually slightly pressing on the accelerator (assuming that would be safe in that context) gets it to complete the motion
@ryanvogel 419.5 miles (since Saturday May 30th)
Just happened to coincide with a road trip/day trip (Miami -> Sanibel and back) but Iโm sure Iโll break the streak in normal driving this week (stop sign interaction, parking lot, navigation, etc.)
NEW: Apple readies iOS 27 service that will let users split bills for dinners, events by taking a photo of a receipt and assigning items to friends. This will be part of Apple Wallet and Cash, taking on Venmo and Splitwise. https://t.co/uSCQiLvGUI
@wholemars Purchased my first one in March of this year (Model Y Performance) and immediately realized buying out our Kia EV6 lease for my wife, despite getting a great deal, was a mistake and we should have let the lease run out and leased or bought a Tesla for her as well.
On the highway, if you have to intervene then of course you do and F the streak (I understand the example in this video was unintentional, but I mean just in general).
If you ARE keeping a long streak and then in a situation in a safer spot where you need to intervene (parking in a handicap space, turning the wrong way in a parking lot lane, etc.) you can unbuckle your seat belt, drive it yourself to park or get back on track, then enable FSD again with your seatbelt back on and it will continue the streak.
Car Wash Mode
- Not sure if this is new, but when you're in Car Wash mode and it tells you the steps to get into the neutral mode where it rolls forward for the car washes that use those tracks, I see there's a button that enables it with a tap. Was that always there? I know the instructions were, but was the button already there before 14.3.3?
#FSD 14.3.3/SpringUpdate Impressions after 400-mile day-trip
Music Streaming (Spring Update)
- On previous versions, since the car would start connected to our home Wi-Fi and then drop/switch to its own LTE as it drove away, the music would stop and show a "connection interrupted" message. The mini player wouldn't allow any touch feedback so it would instead open the app (YouTube music in my case) and I would just start playing a new song/playlist. With the Spring Update, the song still pauses at the spot where Wi-Fi drops, but it then allows just hitting play to continue where it left off.
Stop Signs
- Stopping at stop signs seems to be for just 1 second, but since it takes so long to come to a stop, it still feels like it takes too long. I appreciate the smooth stop but in that situation, but if it came to a stop faster and waited the same amount of time after the full stop, it would be perfect.
Turning Right on Red
- On 14.2, 14.3.2, and now 14.3.3, if there's a red light with a "no turn on red" sign, the car turns anyway. For the 14.3.3 stop, it was a red arrow, for the previous times it was a regular light. If there are multiple turning lanes and the sign says "red turn on red from right lane only" then it does follow that, but that's probably more of a common sense/regular driving rule than it understanding the sign
Emergency Vehicles
- Pulling over for passing emergency vehicles (with their lights on/flashing) is a little dramatic, but still a nice feature. A cop car can be coming up on the left lane of a 4 lane highway, and we are one lane over already, but it goes 2 more lanes to the right, then comes back across those 2 lanes once it passes.
Speed Profiles
- This isn't a new thing but there are certain areas where there must either be some agreements/rules set with the local government or something where the car just won't speed.
I noticed this back on 14.2 in the Marco Island area where Standard, Hurry, and Mad Max wouldn't go even 1 mile over the speed limit. But minutes later in Naples, Standard went 3-5 over, Hurry went 10-12 over, and Mad Max went 15-20 over. Experienced this same thing in Sanibel where Mad Max would barely go 1-2 over the limit, but on the highway, it went fast enough that I'd bring it down to Hurry to avoid a ticket when other cars weren't around to keep the speed in check.

Iโve had FSD turn on both a โno right turn on redโ sign and a โno turns on redโ. The first one was a regular red light and the second was 2 red arrows.
The closest Iโve seen to it understanding right turns on red is when you can only turn on red from the right most lane when 2 or more lanes are right turn only. But that just seems more of a regular traffic law than it noticing the sign
This has now been on 14.2.2, 14.3.2, and as of yesterday, 14.3.3
If you have an #iPhone and #AppleWatch and want the iPhone to ping (actually make noise when it gets a notification) when the screen is locked, is the only way to do this to
- turn off passcode on #Apple Watch
- turn off wrist detection
That works, but just wondering if it's the only way to accomplish this.
Not #FSD (I had just ended an FSD drive to manually get into the car wash queue) but @Tesla automatic emergency braking kicks in when this truck jumps the curb from another plaza just as I get close
