NEW: Democrats and Republicans have reached a deal to end the Minnesota House stalemate. Deal includes making Republican Lisa Demuth speaker of the House for two years, gives GOP temporary control of committees. Story w/@bbierschbach https://t.co/dpELeb27Ba
MN Gov. Tim Walz just said on “60 Minutes” the state’s new paid family and medical leave program was “promoted by the business community.” This went unchallenged. It’s also untrue. The state’s two most influential business organizations opposed it as it passed in 2023 and now.
Okay this one is crazy. The state government could buy both skyscrapers in this photo for the cost of the DFL's new office building AND THEN have enough leftover to give every single house member $1,194,000 to hire staff.

I'd like to discuss this graph using lessons from the first day of statistics class at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management where I believe the conversation was: "When someone shows you a graph that doesn't start at zero, that person is trying to lie to you"
MN is the only remaining state in the country that still has 3.2% beer laws on the books. Now Molson/Coors has announced they are pulling the plug on 3.2% production nationwide. It's time to pass my bill and allow convenience stores to sell beer Minnesotans want to buy. #mnleg 🍻

As long as MDH continues to micromanage the vaccine distribution instead of allowing professionals to do their job, we will continue to see a anemic vaccination rate in MN. From a front line worker
Minnesota has received 297,350 doses of the COVID vaccine from the federal government so far. But only 57,017 doses have been administered to people, and only 3,643 people over the age of 65!
This is not acceptable, @GovTimWalz. The feds did their job, now do yours!
