American Promise is en route to Bar Harbor. We collected more than 8000lbs of marine debris from remote islands in the Gulf of Maine this week. Not bad for the first expedition of the season!
Great story from @WABI_TV5’s Colin Gallagher on our cleanup of the Nash islands.
Today @rozaliaproject is in Winter Harbor. Media can email me to follow the cleanup!

Powerful: Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, wore a dress made of rope to raise awareness of environmental issues.
Hudson’s dress was made from 36 pounds of recovered rope from the ocean.
An extremely important message ❤️👏
This summer, we had the pleasure of having one student and one teacher from @prospectschools aboard during an expedition. They were a dynamic duo that made incredible additions to our team - check out their reflections on their time with us:

Exciting news from #Vermont! Bill S.213, known as the "Flood Safety Act" was passed, which includes the ban on unencapsulated foam docks.
Our data contributed to demonstrating the pervasiveness of the problem and the increase in foam found in the environment after flooding.
