@thanh_neville So many years. Thank you for sharing. Iโve just realized that so many of us are just now starting to talk about our experiences. It was other-worldly; a war-zone. It became familiar, and normal.. when it was everything but. I still cannot believe we went through it.
@AlanaKinrich The common theme Iโm reading here is a doctor/ other high earner should tip more because the employer doesnโt pay a living wage and that employee relies on tips?
For me, 16 was first love, music that still moves me to this day. My first brush with mortality. When I discovered the beauty of the ocean, autumn leaves, and coffee.
My brain and heart is also still stuck in 16. All these years later.

I hear variations of this sentiment frequently in the ICU.
What strikes me is that people often go back to sweet 16. I hear it so often Iโm taking note. Formative. Everlasting.

Too many times Iโve heard โdo you want to make your loved one comfortable?โ And โdyingโ is never used.
This creates confusion. Words matter. Precise words matter.
