It’s beginning to hit me that, no matter what happens, I’ll get to live the rest of my life having seen Michigan win a National Championship in football and basketball
Casual fans don’t remember who won the trophy the years UMBC upset Virginia or when FDU upset Purdue. I consider myself far more than casual and couldn’t tell you who won the Natty those years.
March Madness is built on “Madness” and upsets. It’s what makes it the best month on the sports calendar. This is an awful take.
Not like the Cinderellas all got blown away. Some deceiving final scores.
Siena: Led with 5 mins to go
Wright St: Led with 4:30 to go
Akron: Down 4, 7:57 to go
Hofstra: Down 5, 5:51 to go
McNeese: Down 3, 6:33 to go
Kennesaw: Down 5, 1:45 to go
Furman: Down 5, 5 mins to go
Wait so correct me if I’m wrong, but:
-VCU and Miami Ohio wouldn’t win a single game in the ACC
and
-High Point wouldn’t win a single game in the Big 10
Correct? That’s what you’re saying?
All games would be blowouts?
That’s where the real competition is?
Cupcake schedule?
Sick quote…
All of the national media guys will post this and say how true it is BUT when March comes they will not be vouching for 26-6 Belmont to get an at large because of their “lack of quad one wins”
They played a weak schedule. Couldn't beat anybody from a major conference. Auburn deserves bid. Akron stole a bid. MAC 'sucks'? Fact is Western Michigan played Miami tougher than SMU. So did Buffalo/UMass/Kent St/Akron/Toledo/Ohio...but MAC sucks?
Congrats @MiamiOH_BBall
"Actually Bam scoring 83 points wasn't that impressive"
"Actually Miami (OH) going 31-1 isn't that impressive and they aren't that good"
We're losing the soul of sports
@bc_mavs@TBraunTHG@CCHAHockey@mtuhky Idk if you have noticed this or not but even with having good teams, we aren’t going to be getting an at large bid anyway
@TBraunTHG@CCHAHockey@mtuhky Maybe after St. Thomas leaves we can say screw it and move to a 28 game conference schedule and play everyone 4 times to get rid of this dumb rule.
@TBraunTHG@CCHAHockey@mtuhky BG proved they are the better team on the ice. CCHA gets looked at like a joke and normally I hate it but right now I completely understand why
@BGHockeyFans Patches may have switched to saying CCHA but it’s that classic WCHA favoritism rearing its head again. Purple Cows and Disgrace to Dogs get any call they want🤷🏻♂️
