Gutted. Their impact on public service has been immense. Thanks to Unlocked, a career as a prison officer is now among the most prestigious options for high flying graduates. It is hard to overstate that achievement!
It would be good for gvt to find a new way to work with them
This is such a dreadfully sad time for @unlockedgrads. I am really hoping that the government can work with us to find a solution so we don't lose this incredible initiative from prisons across England and Wales.

In a special Trust blog post, CST's @LeoraCruddas and @TeachFirst CEO @russellhobby reflect on the relationship between politics and the teaching profession: “The foundation we need to focus on is a better education for all children.”

At our Delivery Partner conference. Hosted at the amazing Wembley High Technology College. Fantastic to see friends and colleagues from nearly 80 partners. A tonne of expertise in the room, deep commitment to teacher and leader development, and supporting each other to improve.
It’s our ‘Hub’ day today, where trainees gather in their regions after a week in school last week. I’m in London and it is great to see the enthusiasm and energy of the hundreds of trainees.
NEWS: Congratulations to @Reuben_Moore who has been awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours list.
Reuben has spent more than 25 years in teaching and teacher education, supporting teachers at every stage in their career, particularly in areas of disadvantage.
Started off in glorious sunshine, ended up drenched 😂
Still, lots of great conversations, strong support and plenty of previous tactical voters coming to @UKLabour@russellhobby
When I was going through her things I found in her files a personal letter from Tim that she had kept for 30 years. She was one of, what, 10,000 teachers in the county? She had suffered a bereavement and he had sent his condolences.
Deeply saddened to hear this news. One of the giants of education who will be missed by us all. My thoughts are with you and all his family and friends.
A personal memory. My mum was a primary teacher in Oxfordshire during Tim’s tenure as chief ed officer…
This is formal but here goes. The family of Sir Tim Brighouse are very sad to announce that Tim died in the John Radcliffe Hospital today after a short illness. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a towering figure in the word of education. 1/
I fulfilled a long held ambition today and visited The Willow, led by Dawn Ferdinand. Amazing place and one of our long standing partners. Member of the 2012 cohort still teaching there.
