Track has shifted east a smidge putting the center of whatever circulation is left of #Isaias over Middle Tennessee. Those with pressure-affected arthritis are going to absolutely love it. Make sure the Advil is within arm's reach.
*grumbles audibly*
Today would be a good day to secure any loose outdoor objects or inflatable Halloween decorations. Remnants of Hurricane Isaias will move through this weekend, bringing windy and rainy conditions to all of Middle TN.
1-3" of rain is expected this weekend with locally higher amounts possible. Gusty winds of 30-40 mph are expected and a few brief spin-up tornadoes can't be ruled out on Saturday.
Hurricane Isaias will make landfall Friday night, then weaken as it moves up to Tennessee. Our forecast remains on track to have a rainy, windy weekend. Periods of heavy showers and wind gusts around 40 mph are expected, especially Saturday afternoon through Saturday night.
CBS posted the trials and tribulations of the Boys in Blue during Sunday's game, and I gotta say, just some unbelievably bad luck weather-wise. That has to mean snow and ice every weekend during November and December, right? Right??
Will need to watch strength of Isaias as he washes ashore and moves north. Given the tropical aspect of the incursion, strong to severe wind gusts could become a possibility. Enjoy the sun and late fall warmth for the next few days. The mornings have become quite fabulous.
Tropical mischief is brewing in the gulf. Soon-to-be-Isaias will propagate northward and become our next weathermaker this weekend. "Drought-busting" rains expected across the entirety of the midstate with some receiving an inch or two.
Much needed rain looks to settle in across the area late this afternoon. Expect a burst of rain on the front end, then scattered showers through the overnight. Some thunder possible but no severe weather expected.
@Her_MidasTouch@Rat3B I'm well aware of the thread option, I just chose not to use it. I do use it during severe weather episodes, however.
Again, damned if you do.....
Greetings Tweeps. Its been a smooth minute since I've talked with you. Thankfully, though, our severe weather season has been nil, null, void, nonexistent, etc. Let me give you an update on my absence. You may not care, but I feel like you deserve it.
