The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, CP Vincent Sano, received a delegation from Timor-Leste led by H.E. Virgilio da Silva Gutteres, Ombudsman for Human Rights and Justice, at the Rwanda National Police Headquarters, Kacyiru.
The delegation is in Rwanda on a benchmarking visit to learn from Rwanda’s governance, reconstruction, and policing transformation journey following the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Discussions focused on community policing, the integration of technology in policing, emergency response systems, inter-agency cooperation, and the role of citizen participation in strengthening public safety and security service delivery.

The Inspector General of Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye, received the Deputy Director General of the Sudan Police Force, Lt Gen Altaher Ali Mohamed Elbaloula, together with the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, Maj Gen Sirelkhatim Musa Hamza Kpko, at the #RwandaPolice General Headquarters in Kacyiru.
Their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Rwanda National Police and the Sudan Police Force across various areas of policing and security collaboration.
The delegation also joined #RwandaPolice in celebrating 25 years of progress and transformation, and attended the EAPCCO Plus Joint SWAT Training Exercise held at the Rwanda National Police Counter-Terrorism Training Centre in Mayange.

The Inspector General of the Rwanda National Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye, received the Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Douglas Kanja Kirocho, and his delegation at the General Headquarters of the Rwanda National Police in Kacyiru.
During the meeting, the two Police Chiefs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Rwanda National Police and the Kenya Police Service, marking a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two law enforcement institutions.
The Memorandum of Understanding provides a framework for enhanced collaboration in combating transnational organised crime and terrorism, narcotics smuggling and trafficking, the proliferation of small arms and light weapons, cybercrime, as well as in information and intelligence sharing, training, and other capacity-building initiatives.
