🚨 BREAKING: Rachel Reeves has launched the Great British Summer Savings scheme
From 25 June to 1 September, VAT on summer attractions like theme parks will be temporarily cut from 20% to 5%
Kids’ tickets for cinemas, concerts, soft play and restaurant meals will also be cut
It strikes me that the problem Starmer primarily has boils down to him wanting to make improvements quietly, sensibly and lastingly, and he isn't a massive bloody show-off. His unpopularity says more about us than it does about him. We are a profoundly unserious country. #r4today
The irony of the leadership mess and accusations within Labour, is that we have a PM who went to a normal university and has worked his way up, being lectured on not understanding the working class by two career politicians who went to Oxbridge.
Has there ever been a more blindingly obvious example of the grass is greener syndrome than the sudden hysteria surrounding Andy Burnham? He lost to Ed Miliband in 2010. He was thrashed by Jeremy Corbyn in 2015. Now he’s capped bus fares in Manchester and he’s seen as the all-conquering, returning hero and the saviour of Labour and the country?
Imagine the staggering arrogance of thinking you can waltz back into Parliament 10 years after running away & immediately take over being PM from the fella who did all the hard work of fixing the mess you ran way from...
Does he really think this makes him look like a great guy?
If Ed Miliband becomes PM the world resets to 2015 and all is well. The sky is bright and we are a member of the EU. Covid? What’s that? Reform? What’s that? All we know is bacon sandwich.

In the last 48hrs Starmer has been given an opportunity to walk away from an incoming global financial shock that will likely lead to a recession. He has chosen not to do so. May I gently remind everyone that true leadership has little to do with faux charm & charisma. #r4today
