We can now confirm that goalkeeper Blair Gallagher will sign for the club following the expiry of his current contract.
Blair joins us from Blackburn United, where he helped The Burnie secure a fifth place finish and promotion from the East of Scotland First Division to the Premier Division.
The young stopper was previously on the books at Whitburn Juniors and also enjoyed a loan spell at Oakley United.
Welcome to Central Park, Blair.
Upon signing, Blair commented “I’m delighted to have signed for the club. After speaking with the gaffer and Colin, I knew it was the right move for me. I’m looking forward to the season ahead.”
Manager Paul McLean added: “We’re really pleased to be bringing Blair to the club. He’s a young goalkeeper with real quality and comes in off the back of a really good season with Blackburn. He will provide strong competition for Dion, and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
Director of Football Operations Colin Nelson said: “We’re happy to confirm the signing of Blair, whom we have watched a few times. He showed a great desire to come here despite having a couple of other offers. He is taking a step up, but it’s one we’re confident he can make, and he again fits the criteria of giving talented players an opportunity at a higher level. I’m also delighted that we now have two permanent goalkeepers for the first time in a long time, which I believe is important.”

Mark Ferrie becomes the latest player to commit his future to Cowdenbeath, signing a new deal for the 2026/27 season.
The 20 year old joined the club in November, initially until January, before agreeing to stay until the summer. The new contract is his third in as many months and shows his dedication to The Blue Brazil.
We look forward to next season with Mark on board.
Mark on his new deal "I’m delighted to sign for next season, I’ve loved my time at the club so far and I’m very grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given to show what I can do while trying to help the team as much as possible. Everyone at the club has been amazing so for me it was an easy decision to sign another year. I’m excited for the second half of the season and for next season to see what we can achieve."
With manager Paul McLean commenting "Delighted to get Mark tied up for another season. He’s been fantastic since he’s come in and is getting sharper every week. With a proper pre-season next year, I’m sure he will be even better. He’s a top quality finisher and makes players around him better. A player with a great attitude for the game and another one who has committed to the club early showing the togetherness we have got in our changing room."
Director of Football Operations added "It's a real coup for the club to get Mark on board for next season to really strengthen our future plans. His attitude and enthusiasm to be here is fantastic and his performances have been full of quality. I do believe he will go from strength to strength and it's a pleasure to have him at the club."
