IDPH filed a repeat emergency rule last night to extend the school mask mandate, regardless of the ongoing court case. The refiled rule would force every school district not named in the suit to enforce masks. Republicans on JCAR object to IDPH refilling during suit.
FINNALY! A co-equal branch of #Illinois government is heard from. This is exactly why we have three branches of government. Checks and balances. Long overdue in Illinois regarding #COVID. @GovPritzker cannot continue to use emergency executive orders. Get the GA envolved. #twill
@RepKamBuckner When politicians pass substantive legislation through a lameduck loophole, that is absolutely NOT what constituents voted for. This bill was passed in the final hours of the last day of session. These actions disregard the will of constituents.
.@EricHolder, @BarackObama, and Democrats across the country don’t care about ‘fair maps’ and will say whatever they need to in order to gain power.
We’re calling out their gerrymandering hypocrisy.
Happy New Year from Peoria’s oldest sole proprietorship, George’s Shoeshine and Hatters. May 2022 bring you peace, prosperity, and the changes needed to build a better community, state, and country. @ Peoria, Illinois https://t.co/fBI5ra6Ksm
Imagine if we had Fair Maps in Illinois. Then we wouldn’t have to speculate about whether one politician was “a fan” of another, and whether or not they drew maps for political retribution.
Illinois Democrat legislators will stop at nothing to retain their corrupt grip on power in Springfield and Washington DC. The Democratic Congressional map was drawn by politicians to protect incumbent Democrats and disenfranchise voters throughout the State of Illinois.
Rep @ryan_spain (R-Peoria) continues to point at doors at press conferences about redistricting, this time @GovPritzker’s office. In 2018, candidate Pritzker said he wanted an independent commission to draw maps, with or w/o a constitutional amendment. He’s since taken that back
@RepTimButler These meetings are essential to the future of our state and it is disappointing and nonsensical for the House Redistricting Committee to be convened in two instances simultaneously. It shows a completely disingenuous interest in meaningful public input.
