Vic Hollingsworth a founder member of the group said: "As someone who has been involved with grassroots football for over 45 years, it's difficult to fill the sporting void that comes when that participation ends, but over the last 5 years, Scarborough Athletics Walking Football has gone some way to doing just that. Aside from playing, the social aspect, banter and camaraderie of the group is something I look forward to every week and long may it continue".

We are proud to be able to offer kids entry (aged 13 and under) for just £1 for the 2026/27 season, thanks to the continued support of Alison Ledden and her family.
The sponsorship is in memory of Gary Ledden, a great partner and father who was lost too soon.
The upper aged limited has increased to 13 years old to enable more youngsters to take advantage of this offer. Working with the Ledden family, we hope to make football more accessible to everyone and we are grateful for their continued support.
Alison said: "We can't wait to have football back in Scarborough and I look forward to seeing all the children enjoying the games. There is a real family friendly atmosphere and I am proud to continue supporting the club and the local community. I am pleased to be able to give something back to the town in memory of Gary".
