🇬🇧 The UK is around 90% self-sufficient in vining peas, with peas frozen within 2.5 hours of picking to lock in nutrients.
In Scotland:
🟢 £32.7m output (2024)
🟢 10.4k ha planted (2025)
🟢 Around 1/3 of UK production

You’ve not heard from me for a while - because ive been wrestling something huge

For seven years, we’ve believed reusable glass was the best way to deliver milk.

I still believe that.

But what happens when two principles you care deeply about start pulling in different directions?

Is it better to eliminate as much plastic as possible as a small business now - or help far more people choose organic milk, support more family farms and create a bigger positive impact later?

I’m genuinely torn.

I don’t want Mossgiel to be remembered for the bottle we use.

I want us to be remembered for the change we make.

I want us to become the Patagonia of dairy.

This isn’t an announcement.

It’s a conversation.
