#THEDEADANDBURIED: the complex and emotive relationships of “the last of us” with the same dubious morality of “no country for old men”, and the picturesque setting and survivalist nature of “red dead redemption”

THE DEAD AND BURIED
no country for old men x the last of us
an 1890s western featuring:
⛰️ a reluctant familial duo
🐇 one resentful girl against the world (metaphorically)
🪦love, loss and power
🪻homoerotic female friendship (gone wrong ???)
🪵 horses, of course

if you like:
- strong, stoic male protagonists
- redeemable villains
- nuclear families
- industry/civilisation (over nature)
- women who do as they’re told and never ever let out their anger ever
- toxic romantic relationships
then you’ll HATE the dead and buried! :)
hiii i’m back after taking a break for a bit - lost quite a bit of motivation to write over the summer + university applications have been kicking my ass lately, but i’m gonna start re-drafting the dead and buried soon so i’ll be more active on here again!! :)
i’m very tempted to take a break from writing until september just because of how much college work and uni prep I have but i’m scared i’ll somehow abandon my wip and never want to come back to it again aghh
