Photographer. Web3 Artist. Decentralized authentication and distribution of art through blockchain. World Colors Collections: My photography authenticated.
Do you know what's so special about these NFTs? They verify the authenticity of my photograph even locally, using an Ethereum node and an IPFS node. They're easily locatable in collections of thousands of others. They're resistant to modification attempts.
Check this.

I've been minting NFTs for three and a half years now, aiming to authenticate and distribute my photography in a decentralized way without the need for third-party permission. Four different collections, each with its own voice.
I started minting on Polygon POS, later migrating my collections to Polygon ZkEVM and now to Ethereum.
I believe NFTs are a powerful tool for authenticating digital art for the long term, if not forever, but they must be minted sustainably and independently, so that the owner to be able to unequivocally and autonomously prove the authenticity of the artwork and its context, even if the entire infrastructure of current platforms disappears.
This is where Ethereum, immutable smart contracts, IPFS, and a comprehensive metadata file come into play. This file includes information that helps locate the NFT on the blockchain, a complete description of the collection, migrations performed, and other details that improve long-term transparency.
@amadon The problem probably isn't the art itself. At least in my case, I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't properly minted, with guarantees of authenticity and long-term ownership. Unless I wanted to make a donation to the artist.
If you want NFTs to be important, promote what truly makes them different and useful: authentication and decentralized distribution.

@jamiegourlay@verse_works That's probably the path to irrelevance, judging by what's happened with other platforms. I'd focus on explaining NFT technology to the general public to attract more art collectors. And why don't I do it myself, at least here? Because X is dead for small accounts
