Several of our new S3 have enjoyed a STEM trip to Paris this week. On Monday our first stop was the Scare Coeur. We celebrated our school values of Perseverance (climbing the many stairs) and Faith. Some of the group also posed for caricatures in the Artist’s Quarter. @_stcolumba

Our Paris trip was not just about French culture/sightseeing. We enjoyed a few STEM themed activities, including a visit to the @citedessciences. @SCHSMaths staff enjoyed a few geeky moments in the Maths area and came away with some great teaching ideas. @_stcolumba @SClpl

We’ve enjoyed taking our learning outside this week during the nice weather. New S2 explored units of length and perimeters, new S3 completed a surface area treasure hunt and S4 used trigonometry to calculate the height of the school. Great work from everyone! @_stcolumba

A great morning at Higher Maths Easter School. A good mix of past papers, multiple choice and higher order skills. We enjoyed sorting through lines of working (correct and incorrect) for past exam questions to filter out common errors & improve mathematical accuracy. @_stcolumba
