Student-created card game Tumor Tactics helps teach kids about cancer biology. The game recently won an Int. Serious Play Award. The project is personal for senior, Daniel Zhang, who lost his grandmother to pancreatic cancer when he was young.

Franklin Elementary welcomed a vibrant addition to its campus in partnership with local artist, German Corrales. About 150 students worked with the artist, learning mural-making techniques while creating art that reflects the creativity, pride, & spirit of the Franklin community.
San Diego Unified wants more high schoolers to enroll in CCTE pathways. It can help students narrow down what they might like to do after graduation, said Kerri Rose. “It’s really an opportunity to explore.”
