Team SEMO powers communities and empowers members in southeast Missouri. Electricity: 800-813-5230. Fiber: 877-430-5418. We make people’s lives better.
Sometimes people ask why it can take time to restore power after a storm. The answer isn’t always the repair itself. Mud. Downed trees. Debris. Saturated ground 👊 We want to thank Mr. N of Jackson, Missouri, who generously used his 300-horsepower tractor to help.
🚗 Join us as we celebrate the 88th anniversary of The Cooperative! 👊 Electric members who attend will get a $15 bill credit, bucket, and entry into a drawing for one of five $250 bill credits. 👉 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 14 at the Sikeston (Mo.) Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo grounds.
Electricity does its job best when we respect it. If you see a downed power line—stay back. Always assume it is energized. Substations are not places to explore. They are built for safety, not access. Those green boxes (underground transformers) may look harmless—but stay away.
Members of Team SEMO returned home - safely - last night after eight days of power restoration work in Pontotoc, Mississippi. The six-man crew assisted Pontotoc Electric Power Association following Winter Storm Fern. Thank you to @MoElectricCoops for support. @kfvsnews
👊 Members of Team SEMO are headed to Pontotoc, Mississippi, to help restore power after Winter Storm Fern. Pontotoc is about 250 miles south of Sikeston. It’s always a blessing to help others—safely. 🙏⚡️ @kfvsnews
⚠️ Winter Storm Fern has brought extremely cold temperatures to our area. Consider lowering your thermostat slightly to reduce strain on furnaces and electricity use. Stay away from any downed power lines. @kfvsnews@kfvsweather
Preparedness is key. We will continue to provide updates as weather conditions evolve and more information becomes available. Your safety matters to us, and we are here for you.
If you need to report an outage, call (800) 813-5230 or you can report it by using your SmartHub app.
No script. No polish. Just Team SEMO. This end-of-year video is raw because it was mixed on our CEO’s iPhone. It captures honest reflections of the people who show up every day to serve our members, subscribers, and communities. Let’s have a safe 2026! https://t.co/eYy61MYTY6
Team SEMO enjoys being part of the community—whether it’s joining parades, supporting local events, or sharing moments with neighbors. Serving others is what being a cooperative is all about.
🎉 We’ve Hit 12,000 Broadband Subscribers! 🎉 A huge congratulations to Mrs. Terri from the Broseley area — our 12,000th GoSEMO Fiber subscriber! 🥳👏 We’re thrilled to welcome her to the GoSEMO Fiber family and grateful to every one who made this milestone possible.
New poles, new wire, and new transformers are now in place in the Sloanville area of Scott County. We will continue working with members to reconnect electric and fiber service as they rebuild and are ready. @GovMikeKehoe
Friday’s storm broke nearly 50 poles across our service area. Our focus remains on the Sloanville area tonight and into tomorrow. Several residents will need follow-up in the coming days, weeks, and months as the rebuilding process pushes forward. @kfvsnews
❤️ As Team SEMO continues restoration efforts north of Sikeston, Lineman Brandon found these two photos scattered in the debris and said he couldn’t leave them behind. He brought them in so we could share them here, in hopes they make their way back to the families.
Crews have restored several outages tonight, but as night falls, work will continue as safely as possible. Due to heavy damage and debris, restoration around Sloanville may take a few days. Our hearts go out to all impacted. Stay safe—we’re with you.
Widespread outages reported after this evening’s storms. Crews are assessing damage and working to restore power. More storms are possible tonight. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted. Stay safe.
Our 87th Annual Meeting ended on a difficult note as a sudden windstorm collapsed two tents near the end of the event. One member of our team was injured. They were responsive and are receiving medical attention. Please keep them in your prayers.
Dora the Explorer, Mr. Clean and Team SEMO invite you to our 87th Annual Meeting from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., today, at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Grounds. Each participating electric membership (one per membership) will receive a $15 bill credit and a free participation gift.
Many more individuals deserve to be in this photo, but this represents our April 2025 Storm Response Team — including linemen from Black River, Citizens, Howell-Oregon, Intercounty, & Team SEMO. The photo was taken early Sunday following a safety briefing and prayer. @NRECANews
