Reminder: BART service will be reduced to one track through the Transbay Tube today for essential lighting work. Trains will run every 30 minutes systemwide.
Riders can get to all 50 stations but there will be no Green or Red line service. Those riders will have transfer to Orange line trains to complete there journeys.
BART crews will be in the Transbay Tube to replace lights in the tube this Sunday, June 7.
The work will be for the entire day, which will reduce our normal service from two tracks to one.
Service impacts will include:
- Trains will run every 30 minutes systemwide
- Only 3 lines will be in service (Blue, Yellow, Orange)
- Red and Green Line service will not operate
- A Yellow Line shuttle train will run between SFO and Millbrae all day - Passengers traveling beyond SFO must transfer

BART is recovering from an earlier problem. There is a major delay on the Dublin/Pleasanton Line in the Dublin / Pleasanton and Daly City directions due to an equipment problem on the track.
Early indications suggest that due to reduced fare evasion the new fare gates are responsible for BART revenue growing by about $10 million annually. Additionally, crime on BART plummeted 41% in 2025 compared to the previous year, despite the fare gate project being completed in August of that year and a steady increase in ridership.
BART is launching a fare gate advertising pilot at nine stations as part of an ongoing effort to explore new and creative revenue opportunities.
The pilot will test how the wrap material will perform in real-world conditions.
This will be the first time BART has wrapped fare gates with advertising. In 2025, BART completed installation of new fare gates at all 50 stations, replacing the 50-plus-year-old system's original gates.
