What was once an old McDonalds is now 160 new units of affordable housing. Today we celebrated the opening of 730 Stanyan Street, a new mixed-use, 100% affordable housing development right across the street from Golden Gate Park. Located in the Haight, this site is now home to transitional-age-youth and low-income families. 

San Francisco is stronger when the people who teach our children, care for our families, and keep this city running can live in the neighborhoods they serve. Now, a UCSF health care worker can live closer to the hospital, a young adult can move off the streets and onto a path to stability, and a working family can stay in the city they love.

Thank you Mayor London Breed, the Chinatown Community Development Center, the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, Bank of America, the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development, and everyone who worked to make this day possible.
