๐News: On June 12, 2026, the opening ceremony of the exhibition "No More War! ๐๐ฌ๐ถ๐ด๐ข ๐บ๐ข ๐ฏ๐ข๐ณ๐ข๐ฏ ๐ฅ๐ฐ (We must never allow war)โA Message from Okinawa" was held at the Soka Bunka Center in Tokyo. The exhibition runs through Sep. 13.
Okinawa was the site of the largest ground battle fought in Japan during World War II, in which approximately 1 in 4 residents lost their lives. In 1981, the Soka Gakkai Okinawa youth members began collecting paintings and drawings by survivors, capturing lived memories from a civilian perspective. Around 700 works were gathered and this exhibition displays 50 selected works, alongside panels on the history of the Battle of Okinawa.

๐News: On May 2 and 3, SGI Argentina (SGIAR) held a youth culture and peace festival at its Peace Auditorium in Buenos Aires, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the auditoriumโs opening. Designed by renowned Argentine architect Clorindo Testa, the auditorium has served as a venue for exhibitions, lectures, and concerts promoting peace and culture since its opening in 1996. More than 2,000 people attended the event, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Adolfo Pรฉrez Esquivel and Club of Rome Co-President Silvia Zimmermann del Castillo. The festival showcased dynamic musical and dance performances by youth members from across the country. ๐News: On June 7, some 39,000 Soka Gakkai members and friends took the introductory level Buddhist study exam at 1,360 venues across Japan. The exam covered three of Nichiren Daishonin's writings, the fundamentals of Nichiren Buddhism and the history of the Soka Gakkai. Soka Gakkai President Minoru Harada, Women's Leader Masami Nasu and local leaders across the country visited venues to encourage participants.
