D1 GOLF STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL:

St. John’s of Shrewsbury has five of six golfers finish under 80, wins the state title with a 303 score. St. John’s Prep was 2nd with 314, Xaverian 3rd with 315.

Longmeadow’s Ryan Downes repeats as medalist with a 4-under 68.

For the first time since 2012, St. John’s (Shrewsbury) wins a state championship as the Pioneers’ top-4 scores combined for a total of 303 to finish ahead of St. John’s Prep (314) and Xaverian (315).
