The national numbers are compelling—but the state-level results tell an even bigger story. 📊
In the 2026 National Study of Professional Learning Communities at Work, schools implementing PLC at Work® with high fidelity showed statistically significant gains in student achievement across multiple states.
Nationally, students experienced gains equivalent to approximately 3.4 additional months of math learning and 2.9 additional months of reading learning. At the state level, some of the largest improvements were measured in Kentucky, South Carolina, Iowa, and California, with especially notable reading gains in Kentucky and Missouri.
The takeaway: when collaboration is sustained, focused on learning, and supported by the right processes, measurable student growth can follow.
